This is a full-time role remote role you’ll primarily work from home, with periodic site visits to the roofing locations you support. The ideal candidate will be located in central PA. The Role

Are you energized by numbers, curious by nature, and motivated to build something better? Stonegrove is looking for a hands-on Accounting Manager to support two to three of our roofing locations. This is more than a behind-the-scenes role — you’ll be a strategic partner to local site leaders and a trusted advisor to senior leadership.

You’ll report directly to our VP of Accounting and play a key role in maintaining accurate financial reporting under US GAAP, supporting local teams, and optimizing processes across our growing portfolio of roofing companies.

What You’ll Do

  • Be the go-to accounting resource for 2–3 roofing locations, providing daily support and financial guidance to site leaders.

  • Review bank activity and lead weekly cash forecast preparation.

  • Supervise and coach on-site bookkeepers (1–2 per location) and manage month-end close.

  • Analyze and prepare complex calculations, including commissions and WIP.

  • Own general ledger reviews and reconciliations to ensure data integrity and reporting accuracy.

  • Communicate financial insights to operations leadership and proactively identify opportunities for improvement.

  • Partner with auditors on key schedules, including acquisition-related accounting and opening balance sheets.

  • Support onboarding of new locations to Sage Intacct, RAMP, and payroll systems.

  • Help refine and document accounting processes to improve efficiency and consistency.

  • Expect to travel approximately once per month to support one of our roofing locations, with total annual travel estimated at less than 10%.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting

  • 5+ years of accounting experience, including 1–3 years in a progressively responsible role

  • Experience with ERP systems (Sage Intacct is a plus)

  • Strong Excel skills and analytical mindset

  • Excellent communicator who can translate financial concepts for non-finance teammates

  • Detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and excited to roll up your sleeves

  • Comfortable navigating change and managing multiple priorities
